Our association is proud to announce the inaugural Asia-Pacific Communications Summit (APCS) – one of the key highlights of the APACD calendar. Our very first Asia-Pacific Communications Summit will take place on November 19 and 20 in Hong Kong.
The two-day Summit will be a unique opportunity for senior communications leaders from across Asia Pacific to meet their peers and hear from the very best in the industry, as well as to take part in workshops, networking events, break-out sessions. Guest speakers will deliver insight and expertise to the audience, while smaller groups sessions will delve deeply into specific themes from social media and media relations to internal and change communications, from communication strategy to brand and reputation management, from storytelling to CSR and public affairs. The range of topics promises to be invigorating and comprehensive.
The Asia-Pacific Communications Summit aims to provide a central platform for peer-to-peer learning and knowledge sharing, bringing together leading communicators and public affairs professionals from companies, associations, NGOs and institutions to network and discuss ideas on the most cutting-edge tools and strategies in the field. We invite all in-house communicators to join us and to celebrate the art of communications!
Our 2015 focus theme: The next era of communications
For our first Asia-Pacific Communications Summit, we invite you to reflect upon the next era of corporate communications and public affairs: the digital revolution, its impact on our environments and how to effectively engage communications with new level of connectivity. As an old saying goes, change is the only constant – and as communicators we eagerly anticipate innovations that bring changes to our professions every day. The last few years have witnessed new tools and technologies advancing at an unprecedented rate, affecting communications patterns in yet untold ways. The digital arena has evolved into an omnipresent and endlessly multifaceted outlet for human expression, interactions and experiences.
How is the advent of this new era changing the practise of corporate communications and public affairs, both in its objectives and its practice? How can an effective communications strategy deliver value to your organisation? As corporate communications moves from “nice to have” to “absolutely essential” the expectations and demands towards professionals have grown tremendously. How can practitioners lead business in adapting to a culture that demands greater authenticity and accountability? Where are the challenges and opportunities for the profession’s future?
