Networking Evening in Bangalore, Event Review written by Aanandita Bhatnagar

With its buzzing technology corridors, Bengaluru aka Bangalore is a city that is home to many multinational communicators. Tech savvy and global citizens, some of this eclectic bunch met up at a popular microbrewery on the first Friday evening of August. The conversation ranged from managing social media crises- to how to get the best from your PR agency.

It turned out that most of us face similar challenges at work with constrained resources, and therefore much of the exchange was centered on how to make the most of what is available. The evening matured with peers sharing their insights with each other; handy tips were furnished by some in engaging employees while others brainstormed on the best ways to connect with academic institutions. The camaraderie of the evening rang of a promise of a bigger and closer knit communications community in the city.

“The event was a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones. Some of our discussions were pensive and intense, while others were fun and light-hearted. All in all, an enjoyable evening” – concluded Melissa Arulappan, Senior Director Corporate Communications, Quintiles IMS.
